Getting rather anxious

I didn't think it would happen to me but I am getting anxious about having this procedure done on an outpatient basis.  It is scheduled for 1:00 PM which means that by the time they are done and observed me for a while, it will be the end of the work day and I will be sent on my merry way and I have no idea what I am supposed to do for post op pain mgt.  My current meds will not do the job for the first night and the next few days.  I  am not concerned about the incissions in the upper lumbar and thoracic area for running the leads.  I am concerned about the implantation of the device in my butt.  That one is going to be rough.  I hate having to have it done 2 hrs away from home and my pain doctor.  There isn't anyone skilled enough in this town to deal with my heavy metal back.  LOL!!!  I will see my pain doc on the 11th and discuss these concerns with him.  I am certain we can come up with a battle plan.  Boy, this better work.
