It has been a quiet weekend due in most part to a major fibro flare from the 250 mile round trip to see the surgeon. My aid comes in the morning which will allow me to have a most welcomed long hot soak.
Abigail is having a family gathering at her house after the surgery. I imagine I will be half stoned and spend most of the evening on the sofa but it will be such a blessing to have the entire family together at Christmas. Thankfully she is catering a casual buffet from Panera Bread.............a tray of sandwiches, two soups and salad. This will allow us to concentrate on eachother and not a fancy meal. I have to imagine that they all will have had their fill of turkey and ham meals by the 26th.
While the surgical sites will be tender and the back, in general, will be unhappy from running the wiring, I will be on my way to a life of buzzing away. It will be such a miracle to eliminate the neuropathy. It will be such a relief to be on the other side of this.
The laptop is on it's last leg. I will have a Nexus 10 as soon as they come out. It will be such a treat to have it on the bedside table where I can manage it at any time. I can't be jumping up and down to handle the laptop. The screen is too small to read across the room. It is going to be a challenge to remain so quiet for 4-6 weeks but it will be well worth it. Life is good.
